Welcome to RC Crash Crew. By using the site you agree to these terms. We have tried to write them in plain English, not legal filler.
The basics
RC Crash Crew is a free community site for RC hobbyists — cars, trucks, crawlers, boats, planes, drones, tanks and more. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian aware of your use of the site, especially for real-world meetups (see our Live Location & Meetup Policy) and any buying, selling or Group Buy activity.
Be a decent crew member. No harassment, threats, hate content, doxxing, sexual content, scams, spam, impersonation, or illegal activity. Full detail is in our Community Guidelines & Moderation Policy. Moderators can hide content, remove listings, and suspend or ban accounts that break the rules — including content that is not illegal but is not welcome here.
RC Crash Crew is not a store. For the Marketplace and Group Buys, we do not process payments, hold funds, or handle shipping — those happen directly between members, off-platform, at their own risk. See our Marketplace Rules and Group Buy Terms. A shop's own Storefront page is different: when a business processes an order through their Storefront, payment runs through that business's own Stripe or PayPal account, not ours — we never touch or hold that money either.
Your content
You own what you post. Photos, videos links, build logs, forum posts, wiki edits, files and every other thing you create or upload is yours. By posting it on RC Crash Crew, you give us a simple license: the right to host, display, resize/thumbnail, and share it back to other members and the public exactly as intended by the feature you used (a public profile is public, a private message is private). We do not sell your content, license it to advertisers, or use it to train third-party products outside of running the site's own features.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark. See our Copyright, Trademark & DMCA Policy for how we handle complaints and repeat infringers.
Public contributions outlast your account. If you delete your account, your private data goes with it, but factual contributions to shared community resources — a place pin, a wiki edit, a parts spec correction — stay, credited to the "RC Crew Community Bot" instead of your name, so the crew keeps benefiting from the work.
The Marketplace, Group Buys & businesses
Buying, selling, and Group Buys are between members. Read the Marketplace Rules and Group Buy Terms before you participate — they cover what can and cannot be sold, seller and buyer responsibilities, and what happens when something goes wrong. Business listings and shop claims are covered by our Business Listings & Shop Claims Policy — a "Verified" badge means we confirmed the claimant has authority over that listing, not that we endorse the business.
Live location, events & AI
Going Live shares your real-time location with other logged-in members so the local crew can meet up — see our Live Location & Meetup Policy for exactly how that works and how to stay safe. Events, races and challenges posted on the site are community-submitted unless we say otherwise — see our Events, Races & Competition Policy. Our AI features (RC Crew AI, the AI Rig Inspector, AI-written wiki articles) are covered by our AI Use, Data & Accuracy Policy — in short, the AI can be wrong, and your own confirmed information always outranks its guesses.
Legal stuff
RC is a hobby with real risks — LiPo batteries, high speeds, water, and aircraft. You are responsible for operating safely and legally. See our RC Safety & Liability page.
Free service, no warranty. The site is provided "as is," with no guarantee it is error-free, uninterrupted, or that any listing, place, spec or piece of community information is accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, RC Crash Crew is not liable for damage, injury, or loss arising from your use of the site, participation in any event found through it, or any transaction with another member.
Changes. We may update these terms as the site grows new features; the "updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.
Everything else. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms, along with the policies linked throughout this page, are the whole agreement between you and RC Crash Crew.
