Came into RC from climbing and action sports. Worth knowing that half-committing to a jump breaks more parts than either full throttle or no throttle — but so does sending everything, so pick your moments.
What it actually does
To send it is to commit fully — full throttle at the jump, no hesitation. It is used with genuine admiration and with heavy irony in roughly equal measure, usually depending on how the attempt ended.
In practice
It carries a real point underneath the joke: many jumps genuinely are safer committed than half-hearted, because a model that lifts off with too little speed lands nose-first. Backing off mid-ramp is how a lot of models get broken.
Worth knowing
The other half of sending it is landing it. Learning to control attitude in the air with throttle — brake to bring the nose down, power to lift it — is what turns a send into a landing.
