Prop wash / mid-throttle wobbles

The quad oscillates or wobbles when descending or backing off throttle, flying through its own turbulent air.

💡 The idea: D-term damping and filtering are your main tools here.

Try these in order

Make one change at a time and re-test — that's how you learn what your car likes.

    Increase D gain slightly

    Dampens the oscillation directly (Betaflight PID guide).

  2. 2
    Enable/tune D Min

    Raises D only during the aggressive moment, keeps cruise D low.

  3. 3
    Check filters aren't over-filtered; enable RPM filter (bidirectional DSHOT) if available

    Over-filtering can worsen propwash per Bardwell — RPM filter helps when the hardware supports it.
