Poor tracking on takeoff roll — swerves, won't go straight
The plane swerves off-line during the takeoff roll before the rudder has real authority.
💡 The idea: Motor torque/P-factor is pulling one direction before airspeed builds.
Try these in order
Make one change at a time and re-test — that's how you learn what your car likes.
-
1
Add right thrust (shim the motor mount)
Counters torque roll directly.
-
2
Increase throttle progressively and hold slight rudder correction
Manages the swing while airspeed builds.
-
3
Check/reduce tailwheel-to-rudder throw if over-controlling
Excess coupling can make the swerve worse, not better.
