Adverse yaw — nose swings the wrong way in a roll
Rolling one way makes the nose swing the OPPOSITE way instead of coordinating into the turn.
💡 The idea: The down-going aileron is creating more drag than the up-going one.
Try these in order
Make one change at a time and re-test — that's how you learn what your car likes.
-
1
Add aileron differential (more up-throw than down, ~5° less down)
Fixes the drag imbalance directly at the source.
-
2
Add aileron-to-rudder mixing (~20-50% depending on severity/wing type)
Coordinates the turn electronically — symmetrical wings need less, flat-bottom wings need more.
