Marketplace Rules

RC Crash Crew · updated Jul 5, 2026

The Marketplace lets members buy, sell, trade, and post wanted ads directly with each other. RC Crash Crew never touches the money — we are not a store, an escrow service, or a payment processor for Marketplace trades. Read this before you buy or sell.

What can be sold

RC vehicles, parts, electronics, batteries, tools, and hobby equipment — new, used, built, or broken-for-parts, as long as it is accurately described.

What cannot be sold

Stolen goods. Counterfeit or fraudulent-replica products. Products subject to an active safety recall. Anything illegal to sell in your location. Batteries or electronics deliberately misrepresented as safe when they are damaged, swollen, or known to be defective. Accounts, stolen software, or anything else prohibited by law or these terms.

Seller responsibilities

Only list something you own or clearly have the authority to sell. Describe the item's real condition, including known damage. Disclose water damage, fire damage, or a swollen/damaged LiPo battery — always, without exception. Use real photos of the actual item wherever the listing type calls for it. No fake pricing or bait-and-switch. Mark a listing sold once it is sold, so the Marketplace stays trustworthy for everyone browsing it.

Buyer responsibilities

Inspect before you commit to a purchase. Verify compatibility with your own setup before you buy a part. Understand that modified rigs are sold as-is with whatever modifications the seller describes — ask questions before you pay. Use a payment method that protects you (many members recommend PayPal Goods & Services for exactly this reason). Remember that RC Crash Crew is not escrow and cannot reverse a payment for you.

Disputes

RC Crash Crew does not decide who is owed a refund in a dispute between members — that is between the buyer and seller, and their payment method's own protections. We can and do investigate site-abuse reports (a scam pattern, a stolen-goods report, fake listings), preserve records where legally appropriate, and suspend or ban members who are found to be scamming the community. We are not a party to any transaction that happens through the Marketplace.

Age

General site membership is 13+, but buying, selling, and posting Marketplace listings requires you to be 18, or to have a parent/guardian directly involved in the transaction — real money and shipping between strangers is a different level of responsibility than browsing and posting.

Reporting a bad actor

Every listing has a report option. If you are describing a scam, stolen goods, or a safety issue (like a misrepresented battery), say so specifically in your report — it goes straight to our Reports Triage queue.
