Group Buy Terms

RC Crash Crew · updated Jul 5, 2026

A Group Buy lets members pool interest in a bulk order — an organizer sets a target, members commit a quantity, and once the target is reached, the organizer and members handle payment and shipping off-platform. RC Crash Crew tracks interest and commitments only; we never collect payment for a Group Buy and never guarantee one will complete.

What a commitment means

Committing to a Group Buy is a real statement of intent to buy at the listed price once the buy closes — treat it the same as you would a verbal agreement with someone in your own hobby community. It is not a binding contract enforced by RC Crash Crew, but organizers and members are expected to follow through in good faith.

Organizer responsibilities

Post accurate pricing, minimum quantities, and an honest timeline. Communicate promptly if the supplier changes price, the timeline slips, or the buy fails to reach its minimum. Handle collected funds responsibly and account for shipping, customs, and duties in the price you quote — do not surprise members with hidden costs after they have committed. Tell members plainly how refunds work if the buy falls through or a supplier fails to deliver.

Member responsibilities

Only commit to a quantity you actually intend to buy. Pay promptly once the organizer requests payment. Understand that once you commit and the buy proceeds, backing out can leave the organizer short on a bulk order they already placed.

When things go wrong

Group Buys involve real money moving between members off-platform, which carries real risk — a supplier can fail to deliver, an organizer can disappear, prices can change before the order ships. RC Crash Crew is not a party to the transaction and cannot issue a refund on anyone's behalf. We can and do suspend an organizer or member who is reported for fraud, and we will preserve records to help you pursue a resolution elsewhere (a chargeback, a small-claims filing, or your payment method's own buyer protection).

Prohibited products

The same rules as our Marketplace apply: no stolen goods, no counterfeits, nothing under an active recall, nothing illegal to import or sell in participants' locations.

Age

Organizing or committing to a Group Buy requires you to be 18, or to have a parent/guardian directly handling the payment — this involves real money changing hands between members, same as the Marketplace.

Shutting down a suspicious buy

RC Crash Crew can close or hide a Group Buy at any time if it looks fraudulent, is collecting information it should not, or is otherwise abusing the feature — even before any member reports it.

By creating or joining a Group Buy, you agree to these terms in addition to our general Terms of Use.
