🚁 Tail Boom
The tube running back from the frame that carries the tail rotor assembly and the drive to it.
Booms are cheap and often the first thing to bend in a crash, but a slightly bent one throws the tail drive out of alignment and eats bearings — replace rather than straighten. Support struts keep it from flexing under tail thrust.
