A racing class with open motor and speed-control rules, as opposed to a stock or spec class.
Short for "modified". Exact allowances vary by sanctioning body and class, but mod generally permits free choice of motor and ESC settings such as timing and boost. Fast, expensive, and not where beginners should start.
