🚁 Idle-Up

A flight mode that keeps rotor speed high and constant while the collective stick controls blade pitch, including negative pitch.

It is what makes inverted and aerobatic flight possible, because the rotor keeps making thrust when the stick is at the bottom. Most radios offer two idle-up modes so you can set a milder one for forward flight and a hotter one for 3D.
