🖌️ Dry-brushing

Catches raised edges and texture with a highlight colour for a used, three-dimensional look.

🖌️ How it's done

Load a stiff brush with a lighter colour, then wipe almost all of it off on a paper towel until it barely marks. Lightly drag it across raised detail so only the high points pick up paint. Great for scuffed bumpers, tread blocks and edges.
