🔩 Standoff
A threaded post or spacer that holds two parts a set distance apart.
You will meet them as body posts, wing mounts and chassis brace pillars. Aluminium ones look good but bend on impact; that is often deliberate, since a bent standoff is cheaper than a cracked chassis.
