🔋 AWG (Wire Gauge)
The American Wire Gauge number describing how thick a wire is — the lower the number, the thicker the wire and the more current it carries without heating up.
12 and 14 AWG are common on 1/10-scale battery and motor wires, with 10 to 12 AWG on bigger 1/8-scale systems. Undersized wire runs hot and throws away voltage as heat.
