🪨 1.9 Scale Class
Rigs running 1.9-inch (bead-lock) wheels — the most popular scale size. Judged on a blend of scale looks and real-world capability.
The 1.9 class is named for its 1.9-inch wheel/tire size and is the backbone of scale crawling and trail driving. Rigs look like real 4x4s and are driven over natural or built terrain. Depending on the event it may be run as a scale-judged class (points for realism + drivability) or a capability course. Tire diameter, wheelbase and motor rules vary by series.
| Named for | 1.9" wheels |
|---|---|
| Focus | Scale realism + capability |
| Typical drivetrain | Solid axles, 4WD |
| Example rigs | Axial SCX10 II / SCX10 III, Traxxas TRX-4, Redcat Gen8, Element Enduro |
📋 The exact rules vary. Tire diameter, wheelbase, motor and body limits differ by sanctioning body and event. Check the current rulebook for your competition — e.g. SORRCA for scale scoring, or your local club / series for comp classes. Blank beats a wrong number, so we don't publish measurements that change year to year.
