🔩 Self-Tapping Screw
A screw that cuts its own thread as it goes into plastic, used throughout most ready-to-run vehicles.
To avoid stripping the hole, turn the screw backwards until you feel it drop into the existing thread, then tighten forwards. Snug is enough — overtightening is the usual cause of stripped plastic.
