🧰 LiPo Safe Bag

A fire-resistant fibreglass bag or metal container used to charge and store LiPo packs so that a failing cell is contained.

A bag is containment, not permission: charge on a non-flammable surface, clear of anything that burns, and stay in the room and awake for the whole charge.

What it actually does

A LiPo bag is a fire-resistant pouch you charge and store packs inside. It will not make a bad pack safe, and it is not a substitute for good habits — what it does is contain and slow a problem long enough for you to notice it and react.

In practice

Use it on a hard, non-flammable surface, not on carpet or a sofa. Leave the top closed but do not seal it airtight if the design does not intend it. Many people use a metal ammunition tin or a ceramic pot instead, which works on the same principle.

Worth knowing

A bag is a last line of defence, not permission to walk away. Stay in the room while packs are charging.
