🎥 Ham (Amateur Radio) Licence

An amateur radio licence, which in the US is generally needed to legally transmit with a typical 5.8 GHz FPV video transmitter.

Most FPV VTX hardware operates in amateur-allocated spectrum and is not FCC Part 15 certified, so a Technician-class licence is the usual route to operating it lawfully in the US. Licensing rules for FPV video vary widely by country — confirm with your national regulator before transmitting.
