🔧 Ackermann
Steering geometry that makes the inside front wheel turn more sharply than the outside in a corner.
More Ackermann = more aggressive initial steering; less = smoother, more on-power steering.
What it actually does
When a car turns, the inside front wheel travels a tighter circle than the outside one, so it needs to steer at a greater angle. Ackermann is the steering geometry that produces that difference, and it controls how the car behaves through the middle of a corner rather than at turn-in.
In practice
It is adjusted by changing where the steering links attach, usually via alternative holes or plates. More Ackermann generally means more steering as you go deeper into a corner; less makes the response more even from initial turn-in through to exit.
Worth knowing
It is a mid-corner adjustment, so judge it there. If the car turns in fine but runs wide halfway round, Ackermann is worth looking at before you change springs.

Straight with you: the site is new and the crew is small. The tools, the guides, the map and the 505 run spots are all here and working today — the people are what is still missing. If you want a garage that remembers everything, it works from your first run. If you want a busy forum, come back later, or be one of the reasons it gets busy.
