🎥 Acro Mode
Full manual flight with no self-leveling — the standard mode for FPV freestyle and racing, giving complete control over rotation.
What it actually does
Acro — rate mode — is flying with no self-levelling at all. The sticks command rotation speed, so when you let go the aircraft holds whatever attitude it was in rather than returning to level. It is how freestyle and racing are flown, and it is the mode worth learning first.
In practice
It feels alien at first because nothing recovers for you, and that is exactly why it is worth learning early: every habit built in a self-levelling mode has to be unlearned. Most people learn it on a simulator, which costs nothing to crash.
Worth knowing
Learn acro in a simulator before a real aircraft. It is the single cheapest and fastest thing you can do in FPV, and everyone who skipped it says so afterwards.
