Fix it like a factory tuner
What's it doing wrong? Pick the symptom and get the fixes to try — in order, with the reason each one works. Change one thing at a time and re-test.
Real tuning theory — cars/trucks, boats, planes and FPV drones each have their own real symptoms and fixes. Your exact manual/manufacturer guide always wins — this gets you pointed the right way fast.
The front washes wide and the car won't rotate into the corner.
The rear steps out and the car is twitchy or spins when you turn.
The rear breaks loose when you get back on the throttle out of the corner.
The car trips over its outside tires and rolls in corners when grip is high.
The chassis leans a lot and feels vague and slow to respond.
On acceleration the rear just spins instead of driving the car forward.
The car is over-reactive and wanders; it takes constant correction on the straight.
The shocks pack down and the car skips, bounces, or rides harsh over bumps.
The front collapses when braking, and the car lands front-first off jumps.
The car leaves ramps nose-high or nose-low and lands badly.
The boat flips over at speed — the turn fin or hull is generating too much lift and rolling it.
The hull rocks side-to-side at speed instead of tracking flat and straight.
The bow bounces up and down instead of running flat on top of the water.
The boat struggles to climb onto plane and just bogs at half-throttle.
The prop spins up with a whine but the boat doesn't accelerate — it's drawing air, not water.
The boat either darts too hard into turns or won't turn in enough.
The bow digs in and dives instead of skimming on top of the water.
The boat snaps sideways and spins mid-turn instead of carving through it.
The boat glitches or loses connection out on the water, especially at distance.
A wingtip drops suddenly on approach, at low airspeed and high angle of attack.
The nose pitches up and the plane balloons back into the air when you cut the throttle to land.
The plane wants to dive, feels sluggish, and climbs poorly.
The plane feels floaty and pitch responses amplify instead of settling.
Rolling one way makes the nose swing the OPPOSITE way instead of coordinating into the turn.
The plane swerves off-line during the takeoff roll before the rudder has real authority.
The plane feels weak pulling into loops or vertical lines, like it doesn't have the authority.
The plane snaps into an unintended roll or spin during hard, high-angle-of-attack maneuvers.
Holding knife-edge, the nose pitches (and sometimes rolls) instead of staying level.
The plane rocks its wings back and forth in a repeating oscillation, especially in turns.
The quad oscillates or wobbles when descending or backing off throttle, flying through its own turbulent air.
A fast, high-frequency shake or buzz is visible in flight or in blackbox logs.
After a quick flip or roll, the quad bounces back past level instead of settling cleanly.
Motors are noticeably hot to the touch after a normal flight.
A motor briefly stutters, stops, or restarts, usually under hard acceleration.
After a stick movement, the quad holds a tilted angle instead of returning cleanly to level.
Blackbox logs show a clear noise spike, even if the flight feels okay.
The quad doesn't feel like it has the punch it should on a hard throttle input.
Small stick inputs produce an out-sized, hard-to-control reaction.
The quad slowly drifts sideways instead of holding a fixed hover point in self-leveling mode.
