When a wing loses lift because it's flying too slow or at too steep an angle, causing a sudden drop — recovered by lowering the nose to regain airspeed.
What it actually does
A stall is what happens when the wing is asked for too steep an angle and the airflow stops following its surface. Lift falls away sharply. It is not about speed as such — a wing can stall at any speed if the angle is too great — though it usually happens when slow.
In practice
The warnings are a mushy, unresponsive feel and a nose that drops. Recovery is the same as full size: reduce the angle by easing the nose down, add power, and let flying speed return before pulling out gently.
Worth knowing
The dangerous stall is the one in a slow, tight turn on the approach, because there is no height to recover in. Keep turns onto final wide and speed comfortably up.
