🏁 Tech Inspection
An official check that your car actually meets the rules for the class you entered.
Often shortened to "tech". Checks can include width, wheelbase, ride height, motor, battery, tires and weight, and may happen before racing or after a main.
What it actually does
Tech inspection is the scrutineering check that a car complies with its class before or after racing — dimensions, weight, motor, tyres, battery. It exists so that everyone can trust the results, and being checked is a normal part of racing rather than an accusation.
In practice
Common checks include minimum weight, body and wing dimensions, motor and ESC compliance for spec classes, and battery voltage limits. Cars are often re-checked after a main, so passing before does not exempt you afterwards.
Worth knowing
Read your class rules and check your own car before you turn up. Failing tech on weight or a body dimension is disappointing and entirely preventable.
