🎥 DShot

A digital signal protocol between flight controller and ESC that sends throttle commands as data rather than an analogue pulse width.

Common variants are DShot150, 300, 600 and 1200 — the number is roughly the bitrate. Because it is digital it needs no throttle calibration, and bidirectional DShot lets the ESC report motor RPM back for RPM-based filtering.
